The students also participated in professional development activities, including etiquette lessons and a public speaking workshop.

At the year-ending event, MC Pilon, the Belk Endowment’s board chair, acknowledged the success of CCI’s first year and encouraged Institute president William Keyes to establish programs in other regions of the state. We launched the Durham Collegiate Institute in the fall semester of 2017 and the Greensboro Collegiate Institute in the spring of 2018.

The Durham program serves students from these schools:

• Duke University
• North Carolina Central University
• University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

The Greensboro program serves students from these schools:

• Guilford College
• North Carolina A&T State University
• University of North Carolina at Greensboro
• Wake Forest University.

The New York Collegiate Institute, Sponsored by Select Equity Group

In January 2021, we launched the New York Collegiate Institute. This project is sponsored by Select Equity Group, which was founded in 1990 on the premise that rigorous, independent research and disciplined long-term investing will generate superior returns for their clients. The Firm manages over $30 billion in assets.
