Collegiate Institutes Overview
We created the Collegiate Institutes to engage with more students than we can in Washington every summer. For over two decades, we’ve seen the impact that can be made when you bring together talented African American male college students and provide them with support, mentorship, networking opportunities, leadership development, and so much more.
Collegiate Institutes build on that model to create comprehensive academic yearlong programs that include:
- City specific speaker series with public and private sector leaders
- Cohort of students from colleges and universities in each city
Program Details:
While each program is different and is formed around their cohort, all programing takes place during the academic year on Saturday mornings and afternoons. These sessions are scheduled around scholars’ exams and breaks to ensure they can fully commit.
Scholars receive a $100 stipend for every session they attend.
